JKBOPEE BSc Nursing 3rd Round / Mop-Up Round 2026 Counselling Notification Out: Check Details

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has officially released the notification for the conduct of the 3rd / Mop-Up Round of online counselling (Upgradation/Allotment) for admission to B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedical, and B.Sc. Technology Courses.

Following the receipt of shortfall seat status from various Government and Private Colleges across the UT of Jammu & Kashmir—resulting from non-joining, resignation, or surrender of seats during the 2nd round—the Board has initiated the 3rd and Mop-Up round process to fill all remaining vacancies. All eligible candidates can now submit their fresh online preferences on the official JKBOPEE portal.

Who is Eligible to Participate?

The following categories of candidates are eligible to participate in this online counselling round:

• No Seat Allotted Candidates: Candidates who did not secure any seat during the 1st or 2nd rounds of counselling.
• Joined Candidates: Candidates who were allotted a seat in earlier rounds, completed the admission formalities, and joined their respective institutions (eligible for upgradation).
• Round 1 Non-Joined / Resigned Candidates: Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 who did not join, or joined and resigned before the stipulated deadline, are eligible for all courses and institutions subject to seat availability.
• Round 2 Allotted / Cancelled Candidates: Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 (whether joined, not joined, or cancelled before the last date) cannot choose the same course in the same institution again. However, they are fully eligible to opt for other courses in the same institute or all courses in other institutes, as well as participate in the mop-up round.
• Non-Participating Qualified Candidates: Entrance-qualified candidates who did not participate in Round 1 or Round 2 can join by paying the counselling fee of Rs. 1,000/- and submitting their preferences online.

Important Guidelines & Rules for Allotment

• Mandatory Fresh Choice Filling: Preferences submitted in earlier rounds stand cancelled. Every candidate must submit fresh preferences. Those who fail to do so will retain their already joined seat (if any) and will not be considered for fresh allotment.
• Single Preference Submission: The choices entered in this round will automatically be used for the Mop-Up round. No separate choice filling window will be opened for Mop-Up.
• Seat Conversion / De-reservation: Any reserved category seats remaining vacant after round-level allotment will be de-reserved and filled through Open Merit (OM) as per J&K Reservation rules on merit-cum-preference basis.
• One-Time Allotment Rule: A seat once allotted cannot be changed. If a candidate fails to join the allotted institute within the specified deadline, the admission offer will be permanently cancelled.

⚠️ Crucial Notice: Suspended Courses

Candidates are strongly advised NOT to select choices for B.Sc. Cardiac Care Technology and B.Sc. Neuroscience Technology, as both courses have been suspended by the competent authority for this session.

How to Submit Online Preferences

1. Visit the official website at www.jkbopee.gov.in.
2. Check and review the newly uploaded shortfall Seat Matrix carefully.
3. Log in to the online counselling portal using your registered application credentials.
4. Pay the counselling fee (if applicable/first-time participant).
5. Fill, prioritize, and lock your college and course preferences before the deadline on 25-08-2026 (Midnight).
6. Take a printout of the submitted preference confirmation page for future reference.
