The Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) is a mega initiative by the Government of India (AICTE) to empower the students of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This scheme provides full financial support to students who wish to pursue undergraduate degrees in top-notch colleges across India.

Quick Overview: Eligibility & Selection

To apply for PMSSS 2026, students must meet the following criteria:

• Domicile: Must belong to J&K or Ladakh.
• Education: Passed 12th class in 2024-25 or 2025-26 from JKBOSE/CBSE.
• Income: Annual family income must be less than ₹8 Lakh.
• Selection: Purely based on 12th Class Merit through online counseling.

How to Apply for PMSSS 2026?

1. Registration: Visit the AICTE J&K Portal in April end.
2. Verification: Get your documents verified at the designated Facilitation Centers.

4. Allotment: Download the seat allotment letter and join the college.
