BGSBU Rolls Out Online Scholarship Applications for ST Students Under Post-Matric Scheme 2025-26
The Dean of Students' office has just put out a key notification about applying for financial aid through the Centrally Sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST students for the 2025-26 academic year.
This program is all about helping ST students cover costs for diploma courses, undergrad degrees, postgrad studies, and even higher education levels.
The best part? Everything's done online via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in. No more paperwork hassles—just log in and get started.
How to apply
Head over to the NSP site and click on "New Registration" to sign up. Grab the NSP OTR App from the Google Play Store and install it on your phone. You'll also need the AadhaarFaceRD app for that all important face authentication step.
Once you're verified, you'll snag a One-Time Registration (OTR) number.
For Those Renewing Their Scholarships
It's even simpler if you've already done the face authentication bit since it kicked off in 2023-24.
If you have your OTR number (it should've come via SMS to your registered mobile), you can jump straight into the application.
What Documents Do You Need?
To make your online scholarship application for ST students smooth sailing, gather these up and scan them in PDF, JPG, or JPEG format (keep files between 150-200 KB):
1. Your original Domicile or Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC).
2. The official ST Category Certificate.
3. An Income Certificate for your parents or guardians, issued by the right authority (or a Salary Certificate if they're employed).
4. A Bonafide Certificate signed off by your school's head.
5. Original Fee Receipt with your name, class, semester, and official seal.
6. Copies of your previous mark sheets or promotion certificates.
7. Bank Passbook details showing your name, account number, IFSC code, and branch info.
8. Your Aadhaar Card.
9. An Affidavit or Undertaking in the required format, notarized by a Judicial Magistrate.
10. If you're in a hostel, a valid Hosteller Certificate.
How to Submit and Key Deadlines
Once you've filled out your online form on the NSP for this Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme, print it out and attach all those documents. Drop the hard copies off with your Head of Department by September 15, 2025, at the latest. From there, the department heads will bundle everything up both digital and physical copies and send it over to the Dean of Students at BGSBU by September 20, 2025.
They won't accept any offline applications, so stick to the digital route.
