Complete Guide for J&K and Ladakh Students

The Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) is a major initiative by AICTE to support students from J&K and Ladakh for undergraduate studies outside the UT. Registration for the 2026 session is expected to start in April 2026.

1. Eligibility Criteria

• Domicile: Must have a Domicile Certificate of J&K or Ladakh.
• Qualification: Passed 12th from JKBOSE/CBSE within J&K or Ladakh.
• Family Income: Must be less than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum.

2. Course-wise Entrance & Selection

B.Arch	NATA Qualified (Mandatory)
BA LLB (5 Year)	CLAT Score (Mandatory)
HMCT	Class 12th Merit
B.V.Sc / Agriculture	Class 12th Merit
General Degrees	Class 12th Merit / CUET Score

3. Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship is divided into two parts: Tuition Fee and Maintenance Allowance.

Academic Fees (Paid to College)

• General Degree: Up to Rs. 30,000/year
• Professional Degree: Up to Rs. 1.25 Lakh/year
• Medical Degree: Up to Rs. 3.00 Lakh/year

Maintenance Allowance (Paid to Student)

Every student gets Rs. 1,00,000 per year (Paid in two installments of Rs. 50,000) for Hostel, Mess, and Books.
