JKBOPEE BSc Nursing 2026: Result Dates, and Safe Score Guide

The JKBOPEE BSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2026 was recently conducted for aspirants seeking admission into various government and private nursing colleges across Jammu & Kashmir. This comprehensive guide provides everything you need to know about the exam level, expected results, and the safe score for admissions.

What is BSc Nursing?

BSc Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is a four-year undergraduate professional degree in the healthcare sector. It focuses on developing critical nursing skills, medical knowledge, and clinical practice. In Jammu & Kashmir, the JKBOPEE (J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations) is the sole authority responsible for conducting the Common Entrance Test (CET).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Domicile: Candidates must be residents of J&K or Ladakh.
  • Education: Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
  • Minimum Marks: At least 45% marks for Open Merit and 40% marks for reserved categories.
  • Age: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2026.

JKBOPEE 2026 Paper Pattern & Difficulty Level

The exam consisted of 180 questions covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Based on student feedback, the paper level this year was quite approachable:

Subject Level Analysis
Physics Easy Direct questions and formula-based.
Chemistry Easy Straightforward from NCERT.
Biology Easy Scoring and conceptual.

Important Dates (Expected)

Candidates are eagerly waiting for the next steps. Here are the tentative timelines:

  • Result Declaration: Last week of May 2026 or 1st week of June 2026.
  • Counselling Schedule: Mid-June 2026.
  • Admission Process: Last week of June or 1st week of July 2026.

Expected Cut-off and Safe Score Analysis

It is important to note that the exact cut-off can only be determined once the official merit list is released. However, we can analyze the safe zone based on the paper difficulty.

Who is Safe?

Candidates with a score of 100+ have a very high chance of securing a Government Seat. This is considered a solid safe score for this year.

Regarding other categories, it is expected that EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) and ALC categories will see a significantly lower cut-off compared to the Open Merit list. The exact category-wise and college-wise distribution will be available only after the results are announced.

Stay tuned for more updates on JKBOPEE 2026.
