Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: You need to be between 18 and 27 years old as of July 1, 2025. If you’re from a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PwD), you might get some age relaxation.
Education Qualification: You must have passed 12th grade (or equivalent) from a recognized board. For DEO posts in certain departments, you’ll need 12th-grade science with math as a subject. Nationality: Indian citizens, or specific categories like Nepalese/Bhutanese citizens or Tibetan refugees, can apply.
How to Apply
Go to ssc.gov.in, fill out the form, and upload your documents.
You’ll need to pay a fee of ₹100, but women, SC, ST, PwD, and ex-servicemen candidates are exempt.
Exam Dates and Structure
The SSC CHSL 2025 exam happens in two stages.
1. Tier 1: This is a computer-based test scheduled for September–October 2025. It’s objective-type and covers general intelligence, English, quantitative aptitude, and general awareness.
2. Tier 2: If you clear Tier 1, you’ll move on to this stage, which includes descriptive tests and skill/typing tests, depending on the post.
