The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has officially released the Provisional Merit List (PML) for NEET UG 2026 candidates. This is a significant milestone for medical aspirants in J&K and Ladakh who are seeking admission into undergraduate medical and dental courses for the 2026 academic session.
About JKBOPEE NEET UG 2026 Counselling
JKBOPEE is the designated authority responsible for conducting the centralized counselling process for 85% of the State Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, as well as 100% of seats in private colleges.
The board has already successfully completed the online registration and document verification process for eligible candidates. With the release of the Provisional Merit List today, the admission process now moves toward the crucial phase of Choice Filling.
Upcoming Counselling Process
Candidates included in the merit list must now prepare for online preference entry. The counselling will proceed in the following structured manner:
- MBBS & BDS Rounds: There will be three rounds of counselling (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up/Final Round) for MBBS and BDS seats.
- Choice Filling: Candidates must log in to the official portal to prioritize their preferred colleges and courses.
- AYUSH & BPT Courses: Counselling for BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, and BPT courses will be conducted subsequently, following the initial MBBS/BDS rounds.
