India Post GDS Third Merit List Released: Download PDF and Check Results

Exciting news for thousands of aspirants across the country! India Post has officially released the GDS (Gramin Dak Sevak) Third Merit List. Candidates who have been eagerly waiting for the third round of selection can now check their status on the official portal.

Important Note: The selection is based purely on the marks obtained in the 10th standard. No written examination was conducted for these posts.

India Post is the backbone of India's communication and financial inclusion in rural areas. The Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) category includes roles like Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM). These roles are crucial for managing post office operations and ensuring mail delivery in remote villages.

GDS Pay Scale and Salary Structure

The GDS employees are paid in the form of TRCA (Time Related Continuity Allowance). Here is the basic pay structure:

Position	Minimum TRCA (4 Hours)
BPM (Branch Postmaster)	Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/-
ABPM / Dak Sevak	Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 24,470/-

Selection Procedure

The selection process is highly transparent:

• Merit Ranking: Based on 10th Standard marks automatically.
• Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates must verify their documents at the divisional headquarters.
• Final Appointment: After successful DV, the appointment letter is issued.
