The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has officially announced the commencement of the admission process for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) courses for the academic session 2026. Candidates from UT of J&K and Ladakh looking to pursue a career in nursing must go through the following details carefully.

1. Eligibility Criteria

• Residence: Must be a Domicile of UT of J&K or UT of Ladakh.
• Age Limit: Between 17 to 35 years as of December 31, 2026.
• GNM Qualification: 10+2 passed with Science/Arts/Commerce (Science preferred) with at least 40% marks (35% for SC/ST).
• ANM Qualification: 10+2 passed in any stream from a recognized board.
• Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit for the nursing profession.

2. Selection Process

The selection will be finalized through one of the following methods as decided by the Board:

1. Common Entrance Test (CET): An objective-type offline entrance exam.
2. Merit-Based Selection: In case the exam is not conducted, the 10+2 percentage will be the sole criteria for the merit list.
