NEET UG 2026 Correction Window: Updated Schedule & Edit Guide
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the correction window for NEET UG 2026 is open for a very limited time. You must complete all changes between March 12 and March 14, 2026.
After the deadline of March 14 (up to 11:50 PM), no further requests for corrections will be entertained under any circumstances.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the NEET UG 2026 Correction Window starting today. This is a crucial, one-time opportunity for candidates to rectify any mistakes made during the initial registration process. Since your admit card and future counseling depend on this data, accuracy is non-negotiable.
Step-by-Step Guide to Edit Your Form
Visit the Portal: Go to the official NTA NEET website.
Login: Click on the 'NEET UG 2026 Correction Window' link. Enter your Application Number, Password, and the Security Pin.
Access Correction: Look for the "Correction in Particulars" link on the dashboard.
Edit Details: Carefully update the fields that require changes. Ensure the new data matches your official documents (Class 10th/12th certificates).
Review & Submit: Before clicking final submit, double-check every tab.
Pay Additional Fee (If applicable): If you change your category (e.g., from SC/ST to General), you will need to pay the difference in the application fee via online modes.
Download Confirmation Page: Once submitted, download and print the revised Confirmation Page for your records.
What Can You Edit?
The NTA allows modifications in specific fields depending on whether your Aadhaar is verified or not. Generally, you can edit:
Personal Details: Father’s and Mother’s names (only one can be changed if Aadhaar is verified).
Academic Details: Class 10th, 11th, and 12th marks, school board, and passing year.
Category: Change of category or sub-category (EWS, PwD, etc.).
Choice of Medium: The language of the question paper.
Exam City: Preferences for the city where you wish to take the exam.
Gender and Date of Birth: If there were clerical errors.
Note: You typically cannot edit your registered Mobile Number, Email ID, or Permanent/Present Address.
Critical Reminders
One-Time Chance: This is the final opportunity. No further changes will be entertained by the NTA via email or post.
Document Uploads: If your uploaded photograph or signature was flagged as "blurred" or "incorrect," use this window to upload clear, high-quality images according to NTA specifications.
Fee Payment: Your changes will only be saved after the successful payment of any balance fees (if required).
What to Check Twice?
Make sure your Category and Exam City are perfect. Category errors can lead to major issues during the seat allotment/counseling process, and city choices are strictly first-come, first-served in terms of administrative capacity.

Fee Implications: If you change your category from SC/ST to General or OBC, you will have to pay the additional balance fee online via Net Banking, UPI, or Credit/Debit card.
Final Submission: Once you click the "Final Submit" button, you cannot log in to edit again. This is a one-time opportunity.
Confirmation Page: After successfully saving your changes, download the Revised Confirmation Page. This is your proof that the corrections were recorded.
Pro-Tip: Do not wait until the last hour of March 14th. Heavy server traffic often leads to payment failures or site crashes in the final minutes.
