The Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCW) has officially released the guidelines for the 2026 Education Assistance Scheme. This scholarship provides crucial financial support to the children of registered construction workers in Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their academic dreams.
Scholarship Amount Details
The financial assistance is categorized based on the student's current academic level:

| Postgraduate (MA, MSc, MCom, etc.) | ₹15,000 |
| ITI / Para-Medical Diploma | ₹10,000 |
| 3-Year Engineering Diploma | ₹30,000 |
| Professional Degrees (MBBS, B.Tech) | ₹50,000 |
Eligibility Criteria
- Registered Worker: Parents must be registered with the JKBOCW Board.
- Active Labour Card: The card must be valid and renewed with at least 90 days of work completion recorded.
- Academic Performance: Students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the previous class.
- Enrollment: Must be a regular student in a recognized Govt. or Private institution.
- Limit: Benefit is applicable for a maximum of two children per worker.

- Valid Labour Card
- Aadhaar Cards
- Previous Marksheet
- Bonafide Certificate
- Current Fee Receipt
- Bank Passbook
- Domicile Certificate
How to Apply Online
- Visit the official portal at jkbocw.gov.in.
- Click on the "Education Assistance" tab.
- Login using your Labour Card details and mobile OTP.
- Fill in the student's academic information accurately.
- Upload the required documents and submit the form.
- Download the Acknowledgement Receipt for future reference.
Note: Always verify that your Labour Card is updated to avoid application rejection.
