JKBOSE 15% Relaxation Granted For Summer Zone : Check Details
The Jammu and Kashmir government has recently announced in late January 2026, authorities have granted a 15% syllabus concession for Class 10th, 11th, and 12th students in the Summer Zone of Jammu Division appearing for the JKBOSE Annual Regular Board Examinations 2026.
This move comes as a big boost amid ongoing preparations, especially with exams just around the corner.
The past academic year wasn't easy for students in Jammu's Summer Zone. Prolonged spells of bad weather, flood like situations, and other disruptions including war-like circumstances seriously hampered regular classroom teaching.
These interruptions led to significant learning loss, making it tough for schools to cover the full syllabus on time.
Recognizing these challenges, the J&K government stepped in to ensure fairness. Officials emphasized that the goal is to compensate for the academic setbacks and prevent Summer Zone students from being at a disadvantage compared to their peers.
As one government source put it, the relaxation aims to "ensure academic parity" and create an equitable environment for evaluation during the upcoming board exams.Education authorities, including inputs from the Minister for Education, considered feedback from students, parents, and schools before finalizing this concession. It's a thoughtful step to prioritize student welfare without compromising overall assessment standards.
The 15% syllabus concession JKBOSE 2026 specifically applies to:
• Class 10th students
• Class 11th students
• Class 12th students
All belonging to the Summer Zone in Jammu Division.
This relaxation is valid only for the Annual Regular Board Examinations 2026 (February–March session) conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
