Jammu & Kashmir Territorial Army Recruitment Rally Started on December 10, 2025

The second phase of the open Territorial Army recruitment rally is all set to roll out from December 10, 2025, bringing fresh opportunities for aspiring soldiers in districts like Udhampur, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, and Jammu.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh dropped the exciting news on X, calling it a big break for local youth eyeing a fulfilling career in the Indian Army. 

This rally is targeting two key units with solid openings for General Duty and Tradesmen roles:

• 157 Infantry Battalion (TA) Sikh: 212 spots for General Duty, plus just 1 for Tradesmen.

• 158 Infantry Battalion (TA) (H&H) Sikh Light Infantry: A whopping 228 vacancies for General Duty.

These positions are perfect for those passionate about serving the nation while balancing civilian life.

Eligibility Requirements:

• For General Duty: You need to be a Matric (10th class) pass with at least 45% aggregate marks.

• For Tradesmen: Eighth class pass is sufficient.

• Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years old.

It's all about grit and basic qualifications, so if you've got the drive, you're in the running.

Rally Schedule: 

The event unfolds over several days at the 158 Infantry Battalion (TA) (H&H) grounds in Janglot, Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. 

Heads up: Reporting time is super early aim for 2 AM to 5 AM to avoid the rush.

Here's the day-by-day lineup by tehsil and district:

• December 10-12: Focused on 157 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) Sikh for Triath and Pooni (Rajouri Tehsil), Bari Brahmana and Vijaypur Tehsil (Samba District), and various areas in Jammu District.

• December 13-14, 16-17: Shifting to Kathua, Billawar, Basohli, Bani, and Rajkot Tehsils (Kathua District); Hiranagar, Nagri, Marheen, Dinga Amb, Mahanpur, and Lohai Malhar (Kathua and Samba Districts); plus Majalta and Ramnagar Tehsils (Udhampur District).

Double-check your local tehsil dates and arrive prepared with originals and photocopies of your documents viz; ID proof, educational certificates, the works. 

It's a straightforward open rally, so no online applications; just show up ready to impress.
