Understanding the NEET UG 2025 Exam Pattern
The NEET UG 2025 exam, held on May 4, 2025, marked a significant shift by reverting to the pre-COVID format. Unlike previous years, which offered optional questions and extra time, the 2025 exam consisted of 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 3 hours (180 minutes), with a total of 720 marks.

Marking Scheme: +4 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each incorrect answer, and 0 marks for unattempted questions.

Languages: Available in English, Hindi, and 11 regional languages, as chosen during registration.
This year, the NTA reduced the number of question paper sets from 24 to just four (codes 45, 46, 47, and 48), making the exam more standardized but also more challenging due to its focus on conceptual understanding and application-based questions.
