The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for the students wishing to get admissions in different UG courses for the academic year 2025-26 be held for 37 subject including 13 languages and 23 domain subjects and a General Test.
Candidates have to choose upto a maximum of five subjects and minimum of three subjects including languages and General Aptitude Test.
Eligibility Criteria for Applying CUET:
The candidates must have passed class 12 exams.
There is no age limit for appearing in CUET.
However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organisation in which they are considering for taking admission.
Syllabus for CUET 2025-26
Language subjects will be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages,) Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary
Domain subjects opted by candidate will be as per NCERT syllabus of mostly class 10th -12th.
General Test comprises of General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
Exam Pattern for CUET
There will be total 50 questions in each test paper and all of them are to be attempted.
For every correct answer 5 marks will be awarded to candidate and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
The test will be Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at different computer gallaries and institutions or schools.
The test of each paper will be of 1 hour, and the examination will be conducted in multiple shifts.
