Eligibility Criteria:

• The scholarship is open to students from Class 1 to Class 10.

• Candidates must have achieved at least 50% marks in their previous year's examination.

• For students applying under the minority scholarship, the annual family income should not exceed INR 1 lakh.

Benefits

The NSP Pre-Matric Scholarship 2024-25 provides financial assistance to cover various educational expenses. The awarded amount varies based on the student's class and the type of expenses incurred.

a) For Classes 1-5: Scholarship Amount: Up to INR 1,000 per annum. This sum is intended to cover incidental costs and basic school expenses.

c) Maintenance Allowance: Students residing in hostels receive INR 600 monthly, while day scholars are granted INR 100 per month.

d) Ad-hoc Grants: Certain states offer additional ad-hoc grants to cover extra school-related expenses, such as exam fees and travel costs.

Application Process

The NSP Pre-Matric Scholarship 2024-25 application process is conducted online via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). 

Step 1: NSP Portal Registration Visit the official National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in. Click "New Registration" and provide required details like name, birth date, mobile number, and email. Create a login ID and password for portal access.

Step 2: Application Form Completion After logging in, fill out the application form with accurate personal and academic information.

Step 3: Upload necessary documents, including:

• Passport-sized photo

• Income certificate

• Caste/community certificate

• Previous year's mark sheet

• Bank account details

• Aadhaar card (if applicable)
