The Aicte Saksham scholarship programme 2024 gives the opportunity to meritorious students seeking scholarship for their further education. This scholarship scheme, initiated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), aims to support deserving candidates to pursue technical courses in India. 

Saksham Scholarship 2024: An Overview

The Saksham scholarship is a crucial step taken by the Ministry of Human Resource Development with the help of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

The Saksham scholarship scheme 2024 is devised to helf and foster the technical education of specially-abled students. It comprises of both degree and diploma courses, providing support for up to four years for degree programmes and three years for diploma programmes. 

The Saksham scholarship scheme 2024 features: 

Financial Aid: The programme provides financial aid of Rs. 50,000 per annum to the selected student. With the purpose of covering their college fees, cost of computers, books, stationery, software, and other essential equipment.

Merit-Based Selection: The scheme is merit based and focuses on supporting differently-abled students, which ensures all deserving candidates get the opportunity to education.

Renewable Support: This scholarship scheme is renewable which ensures the continuous support to students.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Saksham scholarship scheme 2024, candidates must meet specific requirements set by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

Educational Qualifications

For Degree Programmes:


• Applicant must be enrolled in the first year of a degree-level course in an AICTE recognized institution.


• Students entering the second year of a degree programme through lateral entry are also eligible.


For Diploma Programmes:


● Applicant must be enrolled in the First-year diploma course in AICTE-approved institution.

●Those joining the second year through lateral entry are also eligible. 

Applicants must get admission through counselling for government quota seats.

Income Criteria:

Saksham scholarship Scheme 2024 have income requirements to ensure the students in need get the opportunity:

The yearly family income of applicant must be upto 8 lakh INR from all sources.

Disability Requirements


• The applicant must be a specially-abled student with 40% disability.


• Applicants are required to provide valid disability.

Required Documents:

 Before applying, keep all the given documents scanned in prescribed format:


● Aadhaar card

●Secondary school certificate and marks sheet.

● Higher secondary certificate and marks sheet (for degree applicants)

●ITI certificate and marks sheet (for diploma lateral entry)

●Diploma certificate and marks sheet (for degree lateral entry)

●Category certificate (if applicable)

●Study/Bonafide certificate 

●Family income certificate 

● Promotion certificate for renewals

●Disability certificate.

●Bank passbook with details, IFSC code, and account number

How to Apply:


To submit your Saksham scholarship application:


• Go to www.scholarships.gov.in


• Click "New Registration" 


• Fill the registration form with accurate details.


• Save your application ID and password.


• Log in and verify with OTP


• On your dashboard, select "Application Form"


• Fill in all required fields 


• Upload necessary documents


• Review and lick "Submit" to finalise.

The scholarship is paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the student's bank account. Applicants must have an individual savings account in their name (joint or minor accounts are not accepted).

A portion of scholarships is reserved for SC, ST, and OBC students under the Saksham scheme, promoting inclusivity across different social groups.
