SSC MTS Recruitment 2024, 9583 Posts, Exam Date: Check Details
SSC (Staff Selection Commission) recently released the notification for the post of MTS in july 2024 and later increased the 1320 no. of posts in August. Staff Selection Commission is mainly responsible for filling up the vacancies in the departments of central government in place of exisiting employees who are getting transferred or promoted.
The staff selection commission is ready to take examination of Multi Tasking Staff in Sep - Nov 2024, for the following posts:
• Havaldar or Sergeant
• Peon or Messenger
• Daftary or Clerk
• Jamadar or Headman
• Junior Gestetner Operator or Junior Duplicating Machine Operator
• Chowkidar or Watchman
• Safaiwala or Sweeper
• Mali or Gardener
and other posts in different departments and ministries of the Government of India.

The eligiblity criteria for these posts mentioned by SSC include:
• Candidate should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan.
• Candidate who is a Tibetan refugee who or his family arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement.
• A candidate can be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
● Candidates should have qualified their Matriculation Exam or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
Age Limit
The minimum age for MTS and Havaldar is 18 years.
The maximum age for MTS and Havaldar is 25 years.
Selection Process
The selection process for the MTS 2024 comprises of three stages:
• An online MCQ based test.
• Physical Ability Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST): This is applicable only for the post of Havaldar.
• Document verification.
